Sampit (Antara Kalteng) - The executive board of the Golkar Party in East Kotawaringin district, Central Kalimantan province, had appealed to all legislative candidates to compete in a healthy manner without insulting and belittling each other.

"The Golkar Party is an elegant party that refrains from insulting and belittling others. We compete in a healthy manner without underestimating others," chief of the party`s district executive board H Supriadi said here on Monday.

He made the appeal at an open campaign attended by hundreds of Golkar cadres at the parking lot of the 29 November Stadium here.

The Golkar Party upholds democracy, so it always competes with other parties in a healthy manner and avoids fraud, he said.

Internally, the Golkar Party is maintaining solidarity and togetherness to recover the glory of the party as the messenger of the people`s voice, he noted.

"When we are given the trust, we consistently dedicate ourselves to the state in channeling the public aspirations," he said.

He asked each Golkar cadre in East Kotawaringin to persuade his/her 10 close friends to vote for the Golkar Party`s legislative candidate in their respective area.

The Golkar Party also plans to conduct campaigns in the sub-districts of Kotabesi, Ketapang, Mentaya Hilir Selatan, Parenggean and Mentaya Hulu in the district.
